Solution Groups are small focus groups that address special issues of personal concern. Since these issues are of a very personal nature, there is a contract of confidentiality. These groups are led by trained facilitators with personal experience in the area of concern.

Solution Group Information – Fall 2008

Law Enforcement- If you are in law enforcement, come join us as we encourage and support each other in a relaxed atmosphere as we discuss the special issues of law enforcement as it relates to work and family and how to deal with the stress all from a Christian perspective.  Meets the last Thursday of every month from 7-8:30pm in the church house.  To sign up or for more information contact Jess Gomez at (213)379-1741.

James Club Recovery Ministry – A workshop with emphasis on the spiritual nature of recovery.  Uses the Big Book of AA, The Twelve Steps and the Bible. Meets every Monday from 7:30-9:30pm (ongoing) in the church house.  To sign up or for more information contact Joey Delgado at (626)506-6847.

Divorce Recovery – Encouragement for people hurting from separation or divorce that desire a safe place to share with others who understand the pain of divorce or separation.  Come be inspired and hear valuable information that lead to strength and towards healing from the pain of divorce. Overcomer’s Outreach – Are you or a loved one struggling with any sort of addiction? Be it alcoholism, drug addiction, gambling, eating disorders, co-dependency, etc.  This group is for you.  This Christian recovery program uses the 12 steps of AA with Biblical perspective to help us let go of the past and present hurts and learn to depend on God. Sexual Abuse Recovery Group – Open to adults of all ages who are interested in healing from the effects of sexual abuse in a safe and loving environment.  Need to purchase The Courage to Heal Workbook by Laura Davis, available in CCV bookstore or anywhere books are sold. Griefshare Group – For those who have grieved the loss of someone close. This group utilizes a workbook and offers comfort with others who share the grief experience.
